The Brunswick herd of shorthorns are so well known that comment ia almost unnecessary, and as Mr Gardiner has definitely determined to clear out the whole of hia herd to the highest bidders the auctioneers have the greatest confidence in advising all shortborn breeders to take advantage of_ this opportunity of forming stud herds at very reasonable prices. . - - - Mr Gardiner has been frequently importuned to part with some of hia famous females, but always met all inquirers with a distinct refusal to sell at any price, his ambition having boen to build up the leading herd in the southern hemi phere.
