ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

Maggie, Wellington.—Blushing in your case possibly la a mere flushing of the face, and probably proceeds from indigestion. How far is it associated with taking tea —not the meal so called —but the beverage taken with it? This is a fertile cause of dyspepsia with many people. Many bad cases have been completely cured by leaving it off altogether. Make a trial of this before doing anything else. Let good food be light and easy of digestion, and take plenty of out door exercise. Alba, New-Plymouth.—To cure the running of the eyes, avoid exposure to cold winds and strong sunlight as much aa possible. Wash the eyes freely with oold water every morning, and once a day use sulphate of zinc six grains, rose water six ounces, with an eye douche. Mater, Masterton.^—To prevent children biting their nails, the best plan is to dissolve about two drams of bitter aloes in a wineglassful of braudy. Faint this solution underneath the tip of the nails and it will soon break children of the habit of biting their nails. W. 8., Gisborne.—Ants eggs form the best food for goldfish. If they cannot be got, vermicelli is very good for them, but they thrive better with a little animal food occasionally, such as small worms, or even finely shredded raw meat. S.H., Hawera.—The bath of roses you speak of can be imitated as follows: To one ounce of glycerine add two drops of otto of roses, mix well together. Take a teacup of .fine oatmeal, mix it into a thin paste with water, than add the glycerine and roses ; mix well, and then mix the whole lot in your bath. It will give a delightful soft feeling to the water and a most delicious perfumery.
