Silver, 3s 9Jd per oz. Parts of ninety carcases of frozen meat landed from the R.M.S. Kaikoura were found to be bad. Twenty-seven thousand carcases were in perfect condition. Some 5000 carcases have yet.to be discharged. The insulation appears to be perfect.
