THE FLANAGANS’ CASE.
COMMUTATION OF THE SENTENCE.’ (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, March 12. At a meeting of the Executive held ah Government House to-day, at which were present His Excellency the Governor and the Hons A. J. Cadman and P. A. Buckley, consideration of the Christchurch petition for commutation of the death sentence passed on the Flanagans (mother and daughter) was adjourned until to-morrow, in order to obtain certain information from Wellington. Auckland, Maroh 13. At a meeting of the Executive to-day, the death sentence on the Flanagans—motheif and daughter—for child murder, was com. muted to imprisonment for life.
