The steamer Marmari finished taking in her Wellington cargo on Friday night, and sailed for Auckland to fill up on Saturday morning. She took on board the following cargo at Wellington : 72 casks tallow, 42 do pelts, 700 cases meat, 327 kegs butter, 337 do cheese, 6464 carcases of mutton, 5614 pieces do, 1781 lambs, 1553 pieces beef, 232 do veal. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tekoa, which arrived on Sunday evening, was berthed at the Queen’s Wharf on Monday morning. The following are the names of her officers :—Master, Dougald Stuart; chief officer, G. W. Banks ; second officer, J. L. Barthorp ; third officer, W. R. Donald ; purser, Mr Harvey. The engine room is in charge of Mr E. Parsons, who has with him as second A. Tasker, third, E. G. Wooton, and fourth H. Rogers, with Messrs W. Gordon and W. North as refrigerating engineers. The Tekoa left on Thursday for Napier. The following passengers were booked for Wellington in London on January 16 :—Per Orient R.M.S. Orient (sailed January 16) — Rev R. Barr, Messrs A, B. Leech, W. Ballaarat (sailed January 22) —Mr and Mrs Parker. ' ARRIVAL OF THE COPTIC. The R.M.S. Coptic, from London, via Plymouth, Capetown, and Hobart, arrived in port at half-past 9 o’clock on Monday morning. She left Plymouth on the 26th January, and arrived at Capetown at 12.52 am of the 18th February. She left again at noon the same day, and arrived at Hobart at 4.47 pm on the 10th inst, and left again for Wellington at 6 am the following day, arriving as above. To Hobart she met with about the ordinary run of weather, but since leaving there she fell in with very unsettled weather, fog, rain, and heavy NE swell for t.vodays. On the voyage out from England there has been several concerts, dances, theatricals and other amusements on board. Amongst the passengers who came by the Coptic to Hobart were the wellknown talented soprano singer, Miss Julie Albri, S.R.C.M. (pupil of the late Madame Jenny Lind), and Miss Rose Albri, R.A., pupil of the late Mr Welch), who have created Buch a furore in London and South. Africa, Captain C. H, Kempson, R.N.R., is still in command, but there have been considerable changes in the personnel of her officers. Mr A. Acheson, late second officer, is now chief ; Mr T. A, Whistler, R.N.R., late of the Atlantic service, comes as second ; and Mr H. Northcott, also of the Atlantic service, as third ; Mr R. James, fourth officer, still remains with the ship. In the engine department Mr J. Bell, R.N.R., succeeds Mr J. Hallyburton as chief engineer. In the victualling departmeut the changes are—Mr 11. McMaster, purser, and Mr H. Wovenden, chief steward, while Dr W. Faulkner again returns as surgeon. The Coptic was berthed bv 11 o’clock and at once commenced discharging.
