The Ladies’ pages of the N.Z. Minnie, Featherston.—To arrest hiccough, close both ears with the fingers with pressure, while a few mouthfuls of liquid are taken. E.M.C., Blenheim. —A little citrate of magnesia every other morning for a week is all you require. Fanny, Waipawa.—You cannot surely expect me to inquire into the young man’s character. From the position he occupies I should think he 13 a steady young man. And if you are really fond of him I see no reason why you should not marry him. Kate, Newtown.—The two colours you mention would harmonise well with your dress. Try the effect of a pale pink. Miss M., Normanby.—From your photograph I shonld consider yon to be a thoroughly well domesticated girl. Although yon appear good-tempered yet I am inclined to think you can be very firm at times—not oroas exactly, but very determined. 1 oannot say that you are Btrictly handsome, but you have a very pleasing face, and judging from the photo you send I should say you have very fine eyes.
