The French Consul (M. de Lostalofc de Baohoue) left by the Manapourl on Monday for the purpose of visiting the French settlement at Akaroa. He will return to Wellington by the French warship Volta, whioh vessel he will join at Dunedin or the Eluff. M. Loßtalot de Bachoud will afterwards go on with her to Auckland, where he will meet the French flagship Dubourdieu. The Volta will leave the Northern city for the South Seas, but it is understood that the Dubourdieu will come on to Wellington from Auckland,
