(per press association). Woodville, November 20. The Resident Magistrate’s Court was occupied to-day with a case in which Strachan and Co., of Dunedin, sued A. Sandel, of the Star Hotel, for beer which he found inferior after delivery, and refused to pay for. Judgment was given for the defendant, with costs, amounting to about £lO, the Resident Magistrate holding that the beer was inferior, and the attention of the plaintiff was drawn to the matter within reasonable time after delivery.
