STOCK SALES. Christchurch, July 2. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report (per Mr E. G. Staveiey) as follows At Addington yards to-day there was a large supply of beef ; best bullocks, £6 to £8 ; cows and heifers, £4 to £7. Fa!! supply of fat sheep ; market film ; best wethers, 16s 6d to 22s 6d ; mixed •exes, 15a to 18s; ewes, 12s to 18s. Lambs were
in small supply ; values, lie 6d to Ilfs. Store sheep, demand good ; store and dairy cattle, fair demand. Pigs, market decidedly improved, especially for baconers. Dunedth, July 2. Todd) as follows :—Cattle—lß7 ; best bollocks, L 8 10s to Lll 63; others, L 4 15s to L 8 5s j beef, prime quality, 22s 6d; ordinary, 17s 6d to 20s per lOOlbs. Sheep—3244 ; best cross wethers, 15s to 17s 6d ; others, Us 6d to 15* ; best do. ewes, 14s Gd to 17s ; others, 9s 6d to 13s 6d ; merino wethers, 5s to 12s ; mutton, l£d to 2Jd per lb ; 113 lambs, 7s 9d to 10s 9d. Figs—3o2; porkers, 22s to 283 ; baconers, 32s to 50s.
