He was one of the fm-t teachers appointed by the Board, and one of the very best appointments ever made. He bad always been a cheerful, conscientious, and thoroughly efficient teacher, and he leaves behind him an unbroken record of successful work. Had hiß health permitted he would long ago have held a more important post,
