(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, June 19. The New Zealand Herald to : day has tfie following as to an immediate dissolution. A general election and a second session this year would mean a large expense thrown oq the country, which at present it canupt bear, for a very problematical benefit. Our objection to the Ministry as at present con stltuted is that it is simply allowing things tq drift; that a firm hand is not being kept on expenditure which, the backstairs pressure that constantly goes on, is creeping up again. That is the only Reason wfiy wq should desire a change to be brought afioqt by a general election. We confess we see no improvement in any Ministry that could be offered by any section of the Opposition, but rather the reverse. On the other hand, a ray of hope appears in the reconstruction of the present Cabinet and the inclusion in it of Mr Bryae. Wo have no donbt that he is convinced of the necessity of economy at the present time, and, more than that, we know that he addß firmness and determination to hip judgment. Of course there are many difficulties in the carrying out of this plan. The party qfifilbt nofj agree to follow the (eqd of Mr Mitchelson, and we rather think that many of them would decline. Then Mr Mitchelson might not be able to form a Ministry which could carry o,n thq business of the country.’-
