THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.

(per press association.) Nelson, January 30. Mr Wilson, engineer-in-chief and representative of the Midland Railway Company, was met here by Mr Napier Bell, C.E., today, and they have left for Motueka Valley to inspect the country beyond Norris Valley. It has been decided that the line shall be continued from Kelgrove into Motueka Valley by way of Norris Gully, but whether beyond that the liue is to follow the coach road route or go by the Tad more Valley is not yet decided. The working plant for the first section is to be put in hand as speedily as possible, and it is expected tenders will be out within three months.
