(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Jai\u,a?y 22; The Jubilee celebration, at Masterton was very largely attested 1 , including visitors from all parts, of, the Wairarapa. He regretted the absence of the Parliamen-

tary representative of the district (Mr G. Beetham), who is the son of a very old settler and an old colonist himself. An address was read from Mr Henry Jones, by Mr Dalriirple, who enumerated some of the experiences of the first settlers in this district, most of whom had now passed away. Messrs Wi Waka and Kingi Ngatuere also spoke, and referred to the wonderful progress made by the pakeha. Hearty cheers were given to the old settlers, after which the public adjourned to the Fark Oval, where tb© children were liberally supplied with plenty to eat and driuk, whilst the adults indulged in sports and other amusements. The arrangements made by the Committee were excellent, everything going off very satisfactorily and without a hitch.
