Improved Music Stand.— An inconvenience which has long been e JL attention men and other persons who devote attention to musical pursuits will be entirely obviated by a new music stand which has 3 fTn patented by Mr H. W. Potter, b e of Invercargill, and Mr J. E. Hayes, ot this city. The new stand, when not in use presents the appearance of a rod about the dimensions of a walking stick. A very little and perfectly simple manipulation, howaver,.Produces a tripod at the bottom and a book rest nn the top—and there we have (as the conjurers phrase it) a perfect music stand adjustable to any height, easdy couveycd about, firm and strong in every respect.
