Mr H. P. S. S. Boyle is appointed lieutenant in the Wellington Guards, and Mr C. F. F. A. B. Isherwood lieutenant in the Wellingtonßifl.es. Mr A. W. Fleming has resigned his appointment as a cadet in the Treasury. The South Australian Government have prohibited the importation of sheep from New Zealand into that colony for a period of two years on account of scab. New Zealand war medals have been issued to E. Coad, O. O. Spurdle, W. Bundle, J. Sainsbury, B. White, H. Miller, W. Buck, J. Andrew, J. Jones, D. Maloney, C. Slater, J. Bleasel. Several Native Land Court cases will be he heard at the Native Land Court office, Wellington, on January 15 and 16. - Sections in the township of Levin will be sold by auction at the Crown Lands Office, Wellington, on Friday, 31st January, also forfeited deferred payment lands in the Wellington Land District Office, also rural lands in the same district. Mr C. L. Pemberton has been appointed postmaster at Pemberton in the Wellington district.
