SALE OF YEARLINGS.

(per press association.) Auckland, December 31. The annual sale of Mr Morrin’s yearlings at the Wellington Park, Mount Wellington, took place to-day. There was a large attendance of the’public, including Messrs H. Redwood, W. B. Wilson (Broken Hill), G. G. Stead, S. Gollan, J. Marshall, J. D. Ormond and others Bidding was" very spirited, and all lots quitted were sold at good prices. The following are the details : BrfEolly, by C iptivator—Jilt, 15 guineas, Mr P. Stead ;br c Brigand, by Brigadier—Garnet, 80 guineas, Mr A. Austiu ; gr c Dancer, by Sword Dance—Vivandiere, 150 guineas, Mr G. Wright; br f Merganzer, by Nordenfeldt —Albatross, 50 guineas, Mr P. Bolton ; br c Halbert, by Nordenfeldt— Ouida, 335 guineas, Mr W. R. Wilson (Broken Hill); ch f Queen of Hearts .by Leolinu3 —Maid of Athol, 80 guineas, Mr J. D. Ormond ; b c Bandolier, bv Nordenfeldt —Frailty, 950 guineas, Mr W. R. Wilson ; br f Yataghan, by .Nordenfeldt —Yattaey, 120 guineas, Mr A. Smith (Napier). The ten lots offered realised 2010 guineas. The highest priced one was the brown colt by Nordenfeldt —Frailty, which was bought by MrW. R. Wilson, after keen competition with Messrs Stead, Marshall, and Hedger.
