Loxdon - , September 10. In consequence of the strike the wool sales have been postponed until the 24th inst. All arrivals till then will be araildible. The situation with regard to the strike is unchanged. Owing to the liberality of the contributions from Australia, money is plentiful. London, September 11.
Cardinal Manning is trying to arrange that the increase conceded to the men by the Dock Companies shall begin on November 1 iustead of January 1, as the d’rectors stipu’ate. The *Now Zealand Shipping f omnauy intend to sue the Dock Company for LIO,OOO damage, on account of the detention of the Huapehu.
The Firemen and Sailors’ Ur : ons have announced that in future they will only permit refi igerator engineers to work on New Zealand frozen meat cargoes, and that only on condition they are not touched uutT the strike is over.
