Palmerston Water Supply. —A trial of the Palmerston North water supply with regard to its efficiency for the local Fire Brigade took place Friday night, Messrs W. Evans and A. Boardman representing the Underwriters’ Association, and Mr G. H. Harbroe representing the Colonial Insurance Company, were present. Mr Gillespie, of the Wellington Fire Brigade, attended as an expert. The trial was a satisfactory one.
