Queen Victoria’s Household.
It may be interesting to many to know that in the household of the Queen of England there are a double sot of attendants. Half do duty for one month and are then relieved by the other half. They thus do duty for only six months in the year. Six out of the twelve they are taking a holiday. For those of the household who b.ave done service for twenty years the Queen has a special decoration, which she presents in person with a few kind words. Her Majesty has also a photograh of every person employed in her numerous households, with the date of their entrance into her service and other particulars relating to them. In the case of sickness or any special circumstance happening to any of her servants the Queen, by referring to this photographic album, is enabled to recall all the details of their service.
