Wesley ah Church Entertainment. —A ▼ery successful entertainment was given in the Wesley Churoh Schoolroom on Tuesday night in aid of the school enlargement fund. There was a large attendance, and the various items on the programme were well received. The Misses V. and M. Jenneßs contributed a piano duet, and the Misses E. and M. F. Chisholm a violin duet “March in Scipio.” Miss Minnie Birch, a little girl of eight years'old, sang “Autumn Winds” in a manner which created soma surprise at the little singer s talent. A hearty encore was her reward. Miss Amy Butler sang with much spirit a comical ditty entitled “Higgledy Hggledy,” which brought down the house. Miss S. Chisholm gave “ Hen Convention ” with a rattling chorus of 60 voices, which elicited a redemand. Misß May and Master Arthur played a pianoforte duet in a very creditable manner. The dialogue, * ‘ Patrick versus Michael,” by six boys, caused a deal of amusement. Miss Ada Billman sang “ Little sister’s gone to sleep” and “ Tired,” for which she received an encore. Mr Gr. Tiller presided, and during the interval briefly stated the object of the concert. Mr Billman must be congratulated upon the great progress his pupils have made, and last night’s entertainment showed that his efforts have not been without good effect. Mrs Helyer presided at the piano in a very able manner.
