Trees should be dressed as soon as the fruit s off, as the Paint will go down with the sap and assimilate with it before the Spring. One man wil dress 100 old trees in o day, or 500 if young. One dressing for old trees a cure by boring a hole nearly through the base and filling with paint ; for a young tree paint a ring round the base.
