Tongariro (Commander Bene) arrived in harbour at 3.45 on Sunday afternoon from London, Plymouth, Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobart. The Tongariro left

Plymouth at 1.40 pm on the Ist June, experienced fine weather and moderate winds across the Bay and to TeDeriffe, which.was reached at 6.20 am on the 6fch June. After coaling, lefc again at 2 5 pm same day for the Cape with light north east winds ; before crossing the Equator fell in with southeast trades, the earlier part of which were light, but freshened upon reaching the Cape. Two days from the Cape ran into strong westerly winds and high sea, which continned until Table Bay was reached at 11.45 pm on the 21st June. After embarking maSs and passengers, proceeded toward Hobart. Experienced strong westerly winds until the meridian of the Crozets, thence unsteady winds and very unsettled weather till arrival at Hobart at 4 pm on the 9tli. After landing passengers and discharging cargo, left at 1.35 pm next day for Wellington. Experienced light easterly winds for the first part, and then fresh southerly winds to Cape Farewell, which was passed at 8.10 am on Sunday, and arrived as above. The Tongariro left for Port Chalmers on Wednesday, from which port she leaves for Lyttelton, and returns to this port od the 4th August, and sails for London on the Sth August. ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE CORIOLANUS, FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s chartered barque Coriolanus, Captain Torkilsen, arrived in harbour on Monday afternoon from Loh.don after a passage of 93 days. She left JLondon on the 13th April, and has experienced variable weather and winds throughout. Sho was berthed at the wharf next morning, and commenced to discharge forthwith. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co. are agents for the barque.
