SYMPATHY WITH SAMOANS.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, May 2. The City Council passed a motion tonight recording their appreciation of the bravery and humanity shown by tho Samoans at Apia during the hurricane of March last. The Mayor, in moving the proposal, said that all the Southern municipal authorities with whom he had communication had expressed a willingness to cooperate except the Wellington Council, who considered the matter beyond their province. Copy of the resolution is to be sent to Mataafa.
