Mr Coupor, sen., of Upper Pelorus “Valley, met with a serious accident on Saturday, the 29fch just. When near Cauvas Town his horse bolted, he was thrown out on his head, and was picked up insensible. Latest accounts received are that Mr Couper is somewhat better. Vital statistics, Pelorus district, quarter ending December 31, 1888 —Births, 11 ; marriages, 2 ; deaths, 4.
