We are glad to see that the important and instructive paper by Dr Mac Mullen regarding “ Consumptive Travellers ” which we reprinted recently from the Australasian Medical Gazette, and on which we commented at some length, has been forwarded officially by Dr J. M. Creed, M.L.C., to the President of the New Zealand Central Board of Health, with a request that the Board would do all in their power to give practical effect to the suggestions of the writer. It will be recollected that, basing his argument upon the admitted infectiousness of consumption and its large and increasing prevalence in these colonies, Dr MacMullen urged that a check should be placed upon the travelling of consumptive patients without any precautions against infection. The matter ought to be promptly taken up by the New Zealand Board of Health.
