We cordially concur in the suggestion that prompt steps should be taken by his Worship the Mayor in preparation for extending appropriate civic hospitality to Admiral and Mrs Fairfax, and to the officers and men of the Australasian Squadron, on the occasion of its approaching visit to this port. This course will assuredly meet with the warm approval of the Wellington citizens, and we feel convinced that the city’s reputation for hospitality will be amply sustained at the hands of its Mayor.
