d MARK TRADE AMD 1887.— FIFTIETH SEASON.—IBB7. DURING the last five-and-twenty years the number of Billiard Tables in use has multiplied fifty-fold. The game in years past was an expensive luxury, enjoyed only hy the rich. Now, however, tb° game is placed within the reach of all. We would particularly call the attention of private familes to our most recent invention—the Cottage Billiard and Dining Table—as those who can afford a separate room for Billiards are, of course, somewhat limited; but by means of these convertible tables one room suffices for the ordinary purpose of a Dining Room as well as a Billiard Boom ; and the tables are so constructed that they can be adapted for rooms of small size, and dine from 10 to 20 persons. We would also call attention to the fact that we have now made arrangements to lend out on hire-on the hire-purchase system—all descriptions of tables at very moderate rentals, for fixed p iods. This is a new feature of our business, and is I o.omiog yery popular. ONE OF THE BEST INVENTIONS GF MODERN TIMESThe Patent Extra Low ‘ Cold-Besistirig Billiard Cushions.’ WHICH NEVER GETS HARD IN COLDEST CLIMATE. Messrs BURROUGHES & WATTS having a special method of preparing India rubber for the manufacture of their Billiard Cushions, claim for them—The most perfect truth of ancle They are quite noiseless and the fastest. Never get hard, always the same, winter and summer. Always keep their Bhape. Balls do not jump. No country I- use should bo without them. The table always in perfect order. Old tables can be fitted with these cushions on the premises hy our own men. We can lend spare sets of cushions, so your able is not out of play during alterations. No. 131, Lambton-quay.
