Bravo, Whakawai, and Mentor are now each quoted at 8 to l for the Cap. Carbine has again advanced to first position for the Derby, 2 to 1 being the best offer obtainable. Melos is quoted at 3to 1.. This morning Mentor and Enfilade did a mile and a half on the tan in 2min 52sec, neither of them going particularly well. Australian Peer went once round the sand track in 2min 32£sec. Theorist and Touchstone covered a mile and a half in 2min. 52isec. Carlyon and Abercorn did a mile in company, their time being taken at lmin 50sec. Beryl and Firelock went round jthe sand track in 2min 37sec. Aldivalloch did a wretched gallop. Necklet and Poet put in a rattling live-farlo'ng spin on the Band ia lmin 54sec. '
