FOUR MEN DROWNED
PRES- s '-ASSOCIATION.V , ' Napibk, September 27. _ ; By a boat accident at Cape Turna ain this afternoon four men named Charles McCarthy (second mute of the s.s. Kahu). James Watson, Joseph Clarke and David Bruce, seamen on the same steamer, were drowned. There were five men in a b 'at landing cargo, when it capsized. The only one who reached the shore'' was McAlister, Hist mate, who landed exhausted, hut recovered on. being attended to McAlister is tt.e only Napier mv, the others being from the . South. McCarthy was formerly master of the soho-ner Cora. No further particulars are to baud. ' 'v ■ -c
