In the second innings of the Australians Bannerman made a stubborn defence, and was at the wickets SO minutes for five runs. Turner also made a fair stand, and played pluckily for his IS. The fielding of the Englishmen was extremely brilliant until the score had reached 70, when several blunders were made. Barnes, Lohmaun, Briggs, and Peei were especially conspicuous in the field, and received quite an ovation from the crowd.
