The rapid progress made with the new City Buffet Hotel on Lambton-quay has enabled the proprietor, Mr Orr, to start business again by opening the bar. A nugget, weighing 3860 z, and estimated to yield 3750 z of pure gold, was yesterday discovered in the workings of the Burnt Creek Company, Dunolly. This is the largest nugget found since July, 1887, when one weighing 6170 z was unearthed in the Midas claim. Two months previously a nugget 1690 z in weight was discovered in the grounds of the same Company. These are the largest nuggets found in the Colony since August 1880, when one weighing 3300 z was found in Shioer's Gully, Wedderburn.
