THE POST-OFFICE CLOCK.

We understand that the Government have received two tenders from England for the new Post-office clock. Both tenders agree in advising four bells—three to chime the quarters and one the hour—the three smaller bells to weigh 30cwt in the aggregate, and the hour bell the came weight. The dial would be larger than that of the old clock. Tlie amount of the tenders has not transpired, but it is said that they are both less than the cost of the original clock. It is understood that the Government are likely to accept a tender.
