ANOTHER RABBIT DESTROYER.

Poison From the Human Breath. 1

Professor Brown-Sequard has recently been making experiments to determine whether the human breath was capable of pro* duciug any poisonous effects. From the condensed watery vapor of the expired air he obtained a poisonous liquid, which, when injected into the skin of rab* bits, produced almost immediate death. He ascertained that, this was an alkaloid, and not a microbe. The rabbits thus injected died without convulsions, the heart and large blood vessels being engorged with blood. Brown-Sequard considers it fully proved that the expired air, both of man and animals, contains a volatile poisonous principle which is much more deleterious than carbonic acid. The amount of poisonous air expired with the breath depends on the condition of the purifying organs of the system ; every particle of blood that goe3 through, the kidneys also passes through the heart and lungs, and if the kidneys are in the least deranged, they cannot rid the blood of the uric acid or kidney poison. The thousand little hair-likc sewer tubes of the kidneys very easily get clogged up and diseased, and when they do, they corrupt instead of purifying the bio id ; this, no doubt, accounts for Warner s Safe Cure, which acts directly on the kidneys, curing so many diseases. Captain JamßaS. Smith, Bluff Point, N.Z., suffered for 20 years with frequent pains in the back, hips, and thighs. He says : ‘ln later years it prostrated me so much that I was deterred from exerting myself in any way. My urine was loaded with sediments like, briokdust, and while passing water, I experienced sudden onsets of pain. 1 was also afflicted with trembling of ths heart, and my digestive faculties were so weak that I was often unable to retain any food on the stomach. In the evenings swelling of the lower extremities of my limbs set in, gradually subsiding in the morning. In this miserable condition, physically, after having tried everything I could hear of, I commenoed ths use of Warner’s Safe Cure and Warner’s Safe Pills. After using 3 bottles, I was amazed at the gratifying results, for my pains became greatly modified, and my water perfectly clear. My painful symptoms left me, and I began to properly digest my food. I have consumed 24 bottles of Warner’s Safe Cure with 10 vials of Warner’s Safe Puls, and, as a consequence I have increased 21lbs in weight. My health is better than it has been during the past 20 years.’ Mrs Thomas Fordham, of.Campbelltown, N.Z., wife of one of the oldest settlers of the Bluff, writes : ‘ For the past five years I have been completely prostrated with kidney and liver disease, causing fearful aching pains across the kidneys, hips, back, and shoulder blades. There was often a sensation of distension across the abdomen, with pain on the slightest pressure. 1 have also been troubled fur a number of years with a very severe cou»h, accompanied by constant expectoratioif of mucus, which reduced me to a state of extreme feebleness. To these many complaints may be added, occasional fluttering of the heart, and frequent swelling of the lower limbs, in fact a complication of ills almost too great to bear. As* people will, when ailing 1 tried a number of medicines, and also resorted to regular medical treatment, but derived no substantial benefit. I finally heard of Warner’s Safe Remedies, ' and obtained Warner’s Safe Cure and Warner a Safe Pills. I got relief from the first bottle. My pains speedily subsided, while the swelling of my feet was removed with the third bottle. My liver complaint is radically improved, and the medicine also produced a free expectoration.'caring my chronic catarrh, by removing all irritation. I have in all consumed 8 bottles of Warner’s Safe Cure and o vials of Warner’s Safe Pills, and the benefit I have derived is permanent and radical. My health is as good as It ever was.’
