Christchurch, September 7. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile A gfency Company report (per Mr E. G. Stavelev) a 3 follows:—At Addington yards today there were large entries of stock, about 7,000 Bheep being yarded. Fat cattle remain steady ; medium weights, L 6 10s to L 6 10s ; _ extra heavy. LlO to Lll,. equal to 16s to 20s' per 1001 b; there was good inquiry for store cattle. Fat sheep were irregular in prices; best crossbred wethers brought 14s to 16s 6d ; medium, 8s to 12s ; merino wethers, 10s to 14s. Mutton averaged 2d to 2fd per lb ; store sheep were in fair request, and values unaltered. There was a good demand for pigs; heavy baconers are worth 42s to 50s, equal to 3d per lb.
