PLAYING GHOST.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Timaru, March 24.
An individual named Cunningham wascharged to-day with the larceny of a portion of a flute. The charge was brought as: the only means of getting at the man, who is believed to be the Timaru ghost. The case broke down. The Magistrate, in dismissing it, spoke very severely of the dastardly conduct of the accused in frightening children, and expressed an opinion that a good flogging would be the proper punishment for him.
