By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. AN ENCOURAGING BEPOBT. (SPECIAL TO UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, January 7. A paper on 41 Colonial Fruits ’’ has been read by Mr Morris at the Colonial Institute. In it he states that Victorian canned fruits are equal to the best Californian, and ought to be more largely exported to England ; also, that dried figs and Adelaide pears were greatly valued in tbe market. Large quantities of apples and grapes were grown in Perth, and the Adelaide seedless currants were equal to tbe best imported. New Zealand and Victorian apples were also mentioned as valuable articles of export.
