FATAL ACCIDENTS.
(united dress association, J Nelson, December 9. A man named John Anderson was killed at Wakapnaka to-day by the overturning of a dray, in which he and a man named Absolom_ Lyford were riding. Lyford was unhurt, ashe fell beside a ledge, which prevented thet dray from falling on him, but Anderson’® head was smashed. ■
Ashburton, December 13. A little girl, named Smithers, this evening* was playing near a pile of planks, when one® was dislodged by another child, and struck; her. A piece of wood which she had in her* hand was forced through the roof of heir mouth into her brain, and she died in a fetqr minutes.
