THE CONGREGATIONAL UNION.

At the Congregational Union to-day, a deputation from the Church Ministers’ Association was received, and expressed cordial sympathy with the Union and its work. A vote of thanks was passed, and the Council of the Union and visiting ministers lunched together. Christchurch, December 3.
The Congregational Union concluded their session to-day, and decided to hold the next annual Conference in Dunedin. The Rev R. Laishley was elected President for next year. Later.
The officers were elected for 1888. As the Rev R. Laishley, of Auckland, wired his regret at being unable to accept the Chairmanship, it was unanimously decided to ask Captain Daldy, of Auckland, to accept the position, The other offices were filled as follows :—Secretary, Mr John Milne ; Treasurer, Mr Noah Wood; Registrar, Mr W. W. Knowles; Executive Committee, Revs J. -Beckenham, William Grant, J. Stoatson, W. J. L. Gloss, J. E. Kelly, T. Adams, J. H. Lewis, H. W. J. Miller, F. Seth Smith, T. Taylor, E. Walker, H. W. West, Messrs J. E. Baker, A. H. Beavan, Captain Daldy, Atkin, S. Dando, J. Eilyett, J. \V, Jago, James Potter.
