Owing to the increase of traffic here con. sequent on the opening of the Company’s line, and the fact that a narrow road runs alongside the railway for several miles, it is probable that a large number of accidents will happen here. Yesterday two occurred from horses being frightened, and Mr J. E. Nathan, Chairman of the Directors of the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company was thrown out of a trap while out driving.
