MR. ALAN SCOTT AT GREYMOUTH.

Mr Alan Scott, tho Midland Railway representative, was accorded a formal reception at the Volunteer Hall last night. It was the largest affair of the kind ever seen in Greymouth. The Mayor was in the chair, and all tho leading citizens in town were present, beßide Mr Seddon, M.H.R., and many country visitors. The proceedings passed off very enthusiastically and successfully. Mr Scott left for Kumara this morning by the old road. Kumara, December 1. _ Mr Alan Scott left for Christchurch this morning,, via Bealey.
