MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION). Palmerston North, November 25. Rudolph George West and John Poulter Leary were the only candidates for the Mayoralty yesterday. The result was — West, 134 votes ; Leary, 131. Majority for West, 3. Marton, November 25.
Mr Alexander Milne was yesterday reelected Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, and Mr E. Snellgrove was elected Mayor of Marton. Auckland, November 25. The Mayoral election at Onehunga yesterday resulted in the re-election of Dr Scott. The numbers were—Dr Scott, 140; W. F. Wilson, 63. Majority for Dr Scott, 77. The Newtown Borough Mayoral contest resulted as follows : —R. T. Warnock, 188, F. Hastings. 118. Majority for Warnock, 70.
