The South Canterbury Refrigerating Company held their annual meeting this afternoon. The balance-sheet showed a net profit forthe year of £570 8s Id, after providing £lOll 15s 4d for last year’s deficit, £54 16s Bd, second year’s contribution to extinguish the amount of Dreliminary expenses, and writing off £9OO 8a on buildings and machinery. 61,331 sheep and lambs were frozen and shipped during the year. No dividend wattdeclared, the net profits being carried forward. The ship Opawa loads frozen mutton, here in January next, rnder charter to the Company.
