WOOL SALE IN CHRISTCHURCH.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, November 5. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report their opening wool sale of the season to-day. There was a good attendance of buyers, with spirited competition, and most satisfactory prices were secured. 894 bales were brought forward, of which 763 found buyers at up to 10gd for greasy half-bred, and 9d for merino and crossbred. Scoured crossbred made 13d, half-bred 16d, merino The wools generally were light and in good condition.
