AN ANCIENT BOAT.
There was recently discovered, while digging the foundations for gasworks at Brigg, Lincolnshire, a boat hewn out of an oak tree, and which is supposed to bs two thousand veara old. Tb© owner of the soil claimed it, and the Gas Company, who disinterred it, claimed the relic. Mr Justice Chitty decided that it belonged to the owner of the soil.
