A REMARKABLE ROBBERY.

The most remarkable robbery ever known in judicial annals recently came to light. Princess Montleart of Poland lived a retired life in her beautiful chateau at Myslenice. Her house was guarded by a pack of dogs, and no one could enter without passing through the portcullis. She had inherited a large fortune, which she kept in vaults constructed for the purpose, as she had no faith in banks or bankers. A few months since the Princess of L—visited the chateau to see the Princess Montleart, who was her godmother. She found her unconscious upon a sofa, and though medical aid was summoned, the Princess Montleart died. Upon opening the safes and vaults nothing was found—■ money, silver and diamonds were gone. Although every effort has been made by the officials to discover the perpetrators of the robbery, no clue has yet been obtained that promises to lead to iudentifieation of he culprits.
