A MISSING VESSEL.

(UNITED press ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, July 27.

Some anxiety is felt at the non-arrival of the schooner Omaha, which trades with the Chatham?, under command of Captain Goodman. She waß reported all well at the Chathams on May 27 th, and was expected to leave for Lyttelton a month later. The rim from the Chathams to Lyttelton occupies a week under favorable circumstances, and a fortnight is au exceptionally long ruo, so that the vessel is more than a fortnight overdue, and there is a feeling here that something should be done to ascertain her whereabouts. She may have gone ashore at the Chathams and remained there hard and fast, thus cutting off all communication with the Islands and New Zealand.
