AUCKLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, July I's. The annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce wa3 held to-day. Mr Graves Aicken- (chairman) presided. He reviewed the commercial position of Auckland, and thought, the outlook more hopeful and healthy. It still remained to make Chambers of Commerce more influential than in the past. This result could beßt be attained by thß formation oE an association composed of the Chambers of the Colony. In making this proposal for the purpose of united action when necessary, he suggested that one Chamber should be elected to hold the chief executive’s position, and carry on for two years only and that an order of rotation should be so arranged as to avoid interprovincial jealousy.
