(PER TARARUA AT AUCKLAND.) London, March 8.

Earl Beaconsfield has advised the Queen to dissolve the Parliament at Easter. The fact of hi? a Ivice having been tendered has been formally announced to both Houses of Parliament. The Liberals expressed themselves satisfied with the arrangements. In the House of Commons the announcement was warmly cheered by the Liberal parly. Earl Beaconsfield addressed an important communication to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland (Duke of Marlborough), which has been published, and is regarded as a manifesto of the Government. In this the Premier treats chiefly on the relations between England and Ireland, and the policy and tactics of the Home Rule patty. He claims that the action of the Government has had the effect of defeating the acts of the Irish agitators, both in and out of Parliament. He lays great stress on the promptitude with which the Government took steps to afford relief to the sufferers by the famine in Ireland, and insists that the interests of England and Ireland are inseparably connected with each other. Any disunion must be calamitous to both. He also expresses a hope that the leaders of both great parties will repudiate the vicious and absurd claims put forth by Home Rulers, against whom he would warn the people of Great Britain and Ireland, as being actuated by a desire to destroy the essential bond and unity that should exist in a nation like ours. The Premier also challenges the opinion of the country on the policy and administration of his Government. He holds that pressure(f), and perhaps the of England in the Great Councils of Europe, is essential to the preservation of peace ; and this ascendancy, he points out, can only be acquired by unity amongst her own people. The Spectator doubts whether Catholic support of Mr. Service in Victoria, tending as it does to identify him with the interest of denominationalism, may not cause a reaction in favor of Berry. The Spectator therefore considers Service and colleagues will not be able to -withstand for long the opposition that Berry will be in a position to command.
