Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, as follows : For Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Manukau, per s.s. Wellington, this day, at 1 p.m. For Napier and Poverty Bay, per ss. Bangatira, on Monday, at 4 p.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff, per s.s. Taranaki, on Monday, at 3 p.m. INLAND MAILS. For Kaiwarra, .Johnsonville, Tawa Flat, and Porirua, daily, at 3 p.m. For Hutt, daily, at 2 p.m. For Hutt, Taita, and Upper Hutt, daily, at 0 a.m. For Featherston, Tauherinikau, Greytown, Carterton, Taratalii, Masterton, daily at G a.m. For Wainuiomata, every Tuesday and Friday, at 2 p.m. For Karori, Makara, and Ohariu, every Wednesday and Saturday at 3 p.m. For Pahautanui, Paikakariki, Waikanae, Otaki. Ohau, Horowhenua, Fielding, Palmerston Oroua, Foxton, Parawanui, Awahurl, Sanson, Bull's, Marton, Turakina, Wangaeliu, Wanganui, and New Plymouth, every Monday and Thursday at 5 a.m. For Taueru, Te Nui, Wareliama, Castle Point, Waipukurau and Napier, every Tuesday at G a.m. For Kaiwaiwai, every Tuesday and Saturday at G a.m. The s.s. Macgregor is expected to arrive at Auckland, from Honolulu, on this day. Mails for Sydney will close six hours after her arrival.
