TO THU EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND MAIL. Sir, —I trust you will find room for a very small historical fact. When Mr Dalrymple met his constituents and others at Palmerston North, the resolution passed was to the following ffect :—“ Mr Dalrymple ought to support a loan of £50,000,” not £210,000. The “ old tale,” as your correspondent calls it, “of restricting the borrowing powers of Government,” will always remain p new one as long as liberty exists.—l am, &c, J. Monbad.
